Herbie J Pilato is a writer, actor, singer and dancer. His most recent book, BEWITCHED Forever: The Immortal Companion to Television ’s Most Magical Supernatural Situation Comedy (Tapestry Press, 1996) is being released as a special Anniversary Edition and includes a new chapter about the 2005 big screen film.

Herbie J is also the author of The Kung Fu Book of Wisdom (Tuttle, 1995) and The Kung Fu Book of Caine (Tuttle, 1993), and upcoming guides to The Six Million Dollar Man and The Bionic Woman, and Life Goes On. As an actor, he’s appeared on TV’s The Golden Girls, The Bold and the Beautiful and General Hospital. He’s also made hundreds of TV and radio talk show appearances, including The Tonight Show and The Maury Povich Show.

Herbie J has written about Bewitched and Elizabeth Montgomery for magazines such as: Remember, Retro Vision and Classic TV, and the website TV-Now.com. He has been published in Starlog, Sci-Fi Entertainment and Sci-Fi Universe magazines, and has served as Editor for UPNTV.com and PAXTV.com. Herbie J has worked as a Producer, Consultant and Cultural Commentator on Bewitched: The E! True Hollywood Story, Entertainment Tonight’s one-hour weekend special on Bewitched , Entertainment Tonight’s special tribute to Elizabeth Montgomery, and A&E’s Biography of Elizabeth Montgomery, as well as The Learning Channel’s Behind the Fame specials, the Sci-Fi Channel’s Sciography series, David Carradine: The E! True Hollywood Story, and A&E’s Biography of Lee Majors.

At schools/colleges and business/community organizations, Herbie J employs his books with TV & Self-Esteem Seminars—a lecture series that helps to bridge the gap between popular culture and academia (advocating against violence on TV, and promoting its more positive aspects).

Herbie J will soon be seen in a guest appearance on TV Land’s new reality show, Chasing Farrah, and as a Cultural Commentary on Bravo’s upcoming five-part documentary, The 100 Greatest TV Characters of All Time, (one of which, of course, is Elizabeth Montgomery’s Samantha Stephens).

Herbie J is presently servings as Consultant on the Bewitched feature film starring Nicole Kidman and Will Ferrell and directed by Nora Ephron (You’ve Got Mail, Sleepless in Seattle) scheduled for release in the Summer of 2005. Herbie J currently resides in Rochester, New York.
